Demand Supply Manager

The Demand Supply Manager gathers and evaluates data to develop solutions for increasing production. Manages the organization’s forecast planning function using inventory levels, production speed, and product demand to estimate output. Being a Demand Supply Manager requires minimum a bachelor’s degree. May work with vendors and customers to determine optimal inventory levels. The Demand Supply Manager will report to the Head of Supply Chain and Production and has at least 3-5 years Managerial Experience in a similar position

Develop and maintain supply and demand availability plans for all products (SKU’s) built and assembled.
Prioritize and allocate production based on supply chain deficits, product demand and sales forecasts.
Review actual production vs production plan and initiate appropriate, corrective actions
Identify demand forecast risks and develop effective mitigation plans
Drive the SOIP monthly demand review meetings with recommended changes to forecast;
Drive resolution of significant variation between actual order rates and the demand plan
Drive delivery performance by understanding key supply (manufacturing and supplier) issues and drive actions to address each of them
Contribute to future development of Sales and Operations Planning process;
Drive continuous improvement plans where necessary, liaise with pertinent support organizations and groups to finetune and develop business processes where required, streamline operations and tools.
Proactively troubleshoot cost, quality and delivery concerns;
Produce regular reports on purchase commitments, costs and Supply Chain KPI’s;
Regularly communicatee status of shipments/backlog/supply commitments versus business commitments for the current month, current quarter and projection for the longer term.
Serve as the contactperson for escalation of demand-supply related issues
Who would be successful?

Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Quickly adaptable to changing processes and requirements;
Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
Experience with and thorough understanding of key factors that drive business value and impact;
Strong background and knowledge around key planning and supply chain tools and systems (Forecasting, Demand Management, Planning, inventory management tools, MRP/DRP, etc)
Should have a strong Manufacturing and Planning background, with experience in procurement.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics or units earned as added advantage
Minimum 3-5 years Supervisory or Managerial experience in a similar role.
Excellent working knowledge of MS Office (Excel) and ERP systems
Wanted experiencethree to five years of experience
